The Greek traditional pie can be tracked back to Ancient Greece and it was a part of the daily diet. Up to this day the Greek pie can be served all day long. As a snack during the day, as a side dish to the main course, or as a main course itself.

A sweet rather than salty filling is wrapped into the dough, which is stretched in the air with the hands without the use of a rolling pin.
